Motto

PROMOTION OF PSYCHOLOGICAL HEALTH AND ENHANCING BRAIN POTENTIAL

About the organization:

Often people are worried about physical health and take care to ensure that they stay fit and healthy. When a child is born steps are taken to ensure that the child grows up to be physically fit and healthy. The adults around are aware of the signs of illness and methods of treatment. Even minor deviations from health are treated with urgency so as to prevent the problem from growing into a serious one. However we are not tuned to identify signs of psychological ill health. As a result we tend to ignore small signs of psychological ill health till it becomes so deviant from the "norm" that it is obvious to all around that something is not right. Once we identify the problem the next issue is where/how does one seek help or remedies for problems of this kind?

At Samvidh, we hope to spread the awareness of psychological health. We also attempt to help individuals to identify signs of ill health and provide treatment for those with signs of distress and psychological ill health. The organization strives to promote positive psychological health to all individuals who seek it. In addition Samvidh promotes the thought that all individuals deserve good quality education and deserve the right to grow in a positive environment such that they are able to show and use their full potential in whatever they do.

Samvidh provides psychological services to people with mental health problems. It consists of a team of psychologists, special educators, parent volunteers and volunteer trainees who provide psychological services to children, families with children, young adults and individuals with psychological problems.
